Hybrid Heat technology is not a new technology.

Smartouch 1000 - 5.5kw 220-volt Heater & Control System

Primary heat is provided, as needed, by the SmarTouch 1000 5.5kw electric heater that is controlled by the digital electronic thermostat. This high-output heater heats the hot tub's water from 54 degrees to 104 degrees in less than 6 hours! It Automatically maintains the water temperature that you choose—when the hot tub is being used, and in between uses.

Secondary heat is provided by our exclusive Radiant Heat Transfer System. This system kicks in when you are in the hot tub with the pumps running on high speed. When the pumps are running at a high speed, they produce a tremendous amount of heat, which is wasted in other hot tubs. But with Good Life Spas and Bay City Hot Tubs, the heat is captured and used to heat the hot tub's water. When you are in the hot tub with the jet pumps on, this system provides 80% or more of the heating of the water, without any additional electrical input.
