Please note that on this site and
in our catalog information, the
width of most Home Living Solutions walk-in tubs is 30 inches. One
Model comes in a 26-inch width. Almost all doors to bathrooms are
24 inches in width.
Most prospective owners of a
walk in tub decide that their particular bathroom just won’t
accommodate the walk-in.
That’s not necessarily so. In
addition to the plumber who will connect up the plumbing, and the
electrician who install 110-volt wall outlets behind the tub to
plug in the pump and heater, you will need to hire a qualified
carpenter for one or two days' work. The carpenter is responsible
for removing the door casings, and any part of the door opening
that still prevent entrance, and putting everything back when the
plumbers are done. This can usually be done at a minimal cost.
